The congregation that built Willowfontein’s Thulani Temple

A completed worship building represents many contributions that rarely make it into the official photograph: money set aside, labour offered and tasks fitted around the rest of life.

SAnews reported that members of the Nazareth Baptist Church presented the completed Thulani Temple in Willowfontein on 12 September. Deputy Minister Dina Pule attended on behalf of the Deputy President. The building itself was the congregation's work.

The occasion also brought a family's administrative difficulties into the open. According to the report, Gogo Mtolo raised problems involving her identity documentation and her grandchildren's birth certificates. Pule directed SASSA and Home Affairs to assist and report back. The report establishes that instruction, rather than confirming the documents had been issued.
